  • mal di denti persistente;
  • problemi ai denti del giudizio;
  • rotture del dente o della protesi / dell’apparecchio.

  • Mal di denti

    Il mal di denti può verificarsi per una serie di problemi diversi come infiammazioni della polpa dentale, traumi o lesioni e denti del giudizio nel tentativo di eruttare. Di solito il dolore inizia improvvisamente e può aumentare, da lieve a molto forte. Può non essere costante e manifestare picchi acuti durante i pasti. 


    Il trattamento del mal di denti dipende dalla causa del dolore. Verrà eseguita una visita di controllo con radiografia endorale per identificare il problema.

  • Denti del giudizio

    Per la loro posizione spesso è impedita la loro eruzione totale o parziale. Pertanto la loro inclusione può portare ad un'infezione dei tessuti che li circondano compromettendo talvolta i denti adiacenti.


    Potrebbe non essere sempre possibile salvare il dente e intervenire con un'estrazione è spesso raccomandabile. 

  • Dente rotto

    In caso di un dente rotto o scheggiato si consiglia di porre il frammento, se recuperato, in un contenitore pulito e ricoprirlo con saliva o latte fino a quando non si raggiunge lo studio odontoiatrico. Il frammento può essere usato per riparare il tuo dente.


    Occasionalmente, una frattura può causare danni alla polpa dentale. In questo caso, il trattamento canalare può essere necessario per rimuovere la polpa danneggiata per prevenire l'infezione. In seguito il dente deve essere protetto con del materiale da otturazione o capsula.

  • Dente perso

    Perdere un dente è un'emergenza comune dovuta ad un trauma. È importante che un dentista sia consultato il prima possibile per evitare un impatto negativo sulla salute dei denti adiacenti. 


    Se sei riuscito a recuperare il dente, quanto prima viene reimpiantato dall’odontoiatra, maggiori sono le probabilità di non doverlo sostituire con una protesi. Prima di vedere il dentista, fare attenzione a non toccare la radice e tenere il dente per la corona e metterlo in un contenitore, coprendolo con una piccola quantità di saliva o latte.


    Se il dente è stato perso, deve essere sostituito il prima possibile. Trattamenti comuni per sostituire i denti mancanti sono gli impianti dentali, protesi parziali, ponti o corone a seconda del caso.

  • Protesi rotte

    Le protesi rotte sono causa di disagio in quanto vengono compromesse le normali funzioni masticatorie ed estetiche del paziente. È quindi considerato come caso di urgenza per cui è raccomandabile consultare quanto prima l’odontoiatra.

Treated emergency cases:

  • Toothache

    Can occur in teeth and around jaws. It is caused by a number of different dental issues. Usually, the pain begins suddenly, and can range from mild discomfort to severe pain. It can come and go, but it can also be constant, and made worse by eating or drinking. Toothache may get progressively worse as time goes on and it occurs often when dental pulp involved. An x-ray may be taken to help identify the issue. If the toothache is a result of tooth decay, the decay will be removed and replaced with a filling. If your toothache is due to a broken or loose filling, the damaged filling will be replaced. If the dental pulp is infected, a course of antibiotics or root canal treatment may be necessary.

  • Wisdom tooth

    In an attempt to erupt, will be prevented in doing so by the tooth nearby. As such, wisdom tooth will remain partially or completely below the line of the gum. This can lead to an infection around the wisdom tooth and therefor pain. It might not always be possible to save the tooth and intervene with an extraction is often recommendable. Sedation is offered in those cases.

  • Broken or Chipped tooth

Place the broken fragment in a clean container and make sure the fragment is covered with saliva or milk. It may be used to repair the damaged tooth. Chipped and uneven edges will be smoothed out and replaced by composite. If the section of the chewing surface of a molar has been broken away it has to be replaced by a crown or filling. Occasionally dental pulp can be damaged. In this case, root canal treatment is required in order to prevent infections.

  • Lost tooth

    A dentist has to be seen as soon as possible as this can impact the health of all teeth that lie on the same arch. If you still have the tooth that has fallen out it can be re-implanted in order to have higher chances of it being re-embedded in the gum. Before you see the dentist try not to touch the root and hold the tooth by the crown and place it in a container, covering it with a small amount of saliva or milk.

  • Broken denture

    Troubles the normal way of speakin and eating affecting daily life and is therefor considered a dental emergency even if not cause of pain. Accidents happen though, which is why it’s important to see a dentist if your denture breaks. Being able to repair a broken denture within the same day allows us to give you back a normal use of all of the dental elements.
